"To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money." Matthew 25:15-18 NIV
It is with immense gratitude and unquestionable excitement I ink this post. Sometimes God gives us a vision, and equips us. In return our response should be a resounding Yes! We should put all things in His hands, and trust Him to work out the details.
At the age of four I became a teacher. As a reading four year old my first student was my uncle, roughly thirty years my senior. He was illiterate. Passionate then about words, reading and helping others, I wanted three simple things for my uncle. The ability to: read, write, and not be taken advantage of. In hindsight, I attribute that moment to the beginning of my career as a teacher.
So... what's all this blabber about?
WattsNatural is officially launching it's tutoring branch!!! Thanks to the Rhode Island Foundation we received...
Ever since my parents made the decision to migrate from the little island of Tobago to the United States, "land of opportunities," I knew my heart would forever be rooted to the place of my birth. This tutoring venture is the beginning of furthering a dream to one day open a center or school back home [Tobago]. I don't know how, or when but that's another chapter in which I'll entrust to His care.
I choose to live my life on purpose knowing that I have purpose!
I choose to multiply the "gold" (be it giftings, abilities, knowledge, wealth) that God has given to me, so in return He gets the glory and I can hear "well done, good and faithful servant!" I've stated in a previous blog: ministry isn't limited to the four walls of a church. Ministry is meeting the needs of people.
This is how I do ministry! I encourage you to:
1. Say Yes to what God has for you
2. Chase those dreams
3. Live with and on purpose
I leave you some inspiration and motivation for why I do what I do...
Until next time.
